Nazko:
Nazko is located 100 Km (60 m) west of Quesnel on the Nazko Highway. Known as the “Gateway to the Nuxalk Carrier Grease- Alexander Mackenzie Heritage Trail”, Nazko is rich in First Nations and Ranching Culture. The area offers a variety of services and accommodations.

Weather:
Typical of the Cariboo region, the weather is quite variable, sunshine one minute and thunderstorm the next. The spring is generally dry and cool, summer dry and hot. The autumn is usually dry and cool and winters an average snow depth of 40-90 cm (16-30 inches) with average temperatures in the –5 to – 15 C (23 to 5 F) range. We do have winter cold snaps down to –30 to –40 C (-22 to –40 F) occasionally.
